The TANTO insertion instruments function in a manner akin to the insertion of a pedicle screw. Initially, the pedicle is accessed, and its trajectory is assessed for both width and diameter. A pilot hole is then created within the pedicle using the appropriate instrument. Taps may be employed to form threads in the pilot hole for the fixation anchor, following the same pathway as the drill. Finally, the TANTO anchor can be placed into the pedicle.
